How does your 7-Day Free Trial work?

After you complete the subscription registration process, your 7-Day Free Trial will automatically begin. Even though you must enter your billing and credit card information to complete your registration, your credit card will not be charged until the end of your 7-Day Free Trial. As a courtesy, we will send you an email 3 days prior to the end of your free trial that reminds you that your credit card will be charged at the end of the trial.

You may cancel your subscription any time during the trial period and no activity will be posted to your card. Also, regardless of when you cancel during your trial period, your account will be active until the end of the 7-Day Trial. During the Trial period, you will have complete access to our 2,500+ courses and 39,000 short, single topic videos that support over 120 of the most popular IT Certifications, and more!

How many courses can I take with my subscription?

It’s unlimited! Each subscription offers the student all the courses and videos that he or she has time to access from the four Technology Certifications Libraries. That is a total of over 1,400 different courses and over 29,000 IT Skills videos.

What do I get with my subscription?

For one low price, each subscriber has unlimited access to any of the 1,400 courses and 29,000 videos available in four different Technology Certifications Libraries. All courses are developed and maintained by Skillsoft, the global leader in eLearning and IT training. The four libraries within Technology Certifications are:

  1. IT Certification Training Courses- for IT engineers who want to earn one or more of over 140 critical IT Certifications.
  2. IT Skills Resource Library- a collection of over 29,000 IT skills videos all of about 1-2 minutes in length and covering a wide variety of IT issues faced by the average tech.
  3. Business Skills for the IT Professional- courses on basic business skills for engineers and other team members including teambuilding, leadership skills, project management skills and customer service skills.
  4. IT Desktop Skills- training videos on some basic end user skills for applications like Google Analytics, Adobe Dreamweaver, Office 365, and Microsoft Windows 10, to name a few.

How do I add additional students to my subscription?

You can either enroll another student through the Subscribe choice or, if you’d like to add that student as part of your company group, Contact Us through the online contact form. Let us know who the additional student(s) is/are. If you are a ConnectWise partner/ user, please also provide their ConnectWise University email address and log-in credentials. We’re developing a multiple enrollment tool, but right now it’s easier to contact us so we can set up an administrator for your group.

How do I enroll multiple students?

There are currently two ways to do this.

  1. For self-service multiple enrollment, select the Subscribe button and follow the prompts through the Shopping Cart process for the first student. Once completed, go back to the Subscribe button and follow that process again for the next student.
  2. Or for assistance, go to the Contact Us page and tell us you wish to enroll multiple students. A Technology Certifications Support Team member will contact you for ConnectWise credentials and to identify your administrator.

What do I need to enroll?

All subscriptions to Technology Certifications are purchased by credit card. A billing account will be set up and the credit card will be charged at the beginning of each purchase plan cycle. To qualify for the exclusive ConnectWise discounts, the purchaser must be a user of any ConnectWise products (ConnectWise ManageTM, ConnectWise AutomateTM, ConnectWise SellTM or ConnectWise ControlTM). There is an authentication process to verify the ConnectWise user status prior to establishing a new account.

MANAGE MY TECHS

How do I assign courses for subscribing students when I have a multiple subscription account?

For multiple subscriptions, the Supervisor can be set up with Admin rights as the Group Manager. Contact Us to set up your designated administrator, who does not have to be one of your paid subscriptions.
(1) A Group Manager can go into the Learning Portal Admin site and select the “Assign learning resources to a user or group” function.
(2) The Manager will identify any student in the Group (or the entire Group) and then locate courses to be assigned to that individual student using the “Learning Plan Assignment” function.

How do I assign courses to a subscribing student when I have a single subscription account?

For a single subscription account,
(1) The student and the Supervisor must sign in, then visit the student’s Learning Portal.
(2) Select “Course Library” from the top nav.
(3) Select the category you wish in the Technology Certifications Library.
(4) Find the course to be assigned and in the upper right of the page, select “Bookmarks” to save to My Learning Plan.
(5) Complete the course detail form and select “Save”. This course will then appear in the student’s personal Learning Plan.
(6) Go to “Learning Plan” and in the left column, select “General” under Personal Learning. The selected course will be found in the Learning Plan at that location.

How do I become the Group Manager or Administrator?

To activate this Group Manager role, please contact Technology Certifications using the “Contact Us” page and a Support Team member will contact you to activate this function for your account and train the Group Manager on how to assign courses, set time lines, and report on student progress.

Can I sign up my techs, manage and assign courses like I can do in the ConnectWise University?

Yes! If you have a multiple subscription account (more than one active student), then Technology Certifications Support can set up an additional Group Manager role for your account at no additional charge.

MISCELLANEOUS

What is a temporary connection error (Error: SS009)?

A temporary connection error (Error: SS009) typically occurs when one of two things happen.

First, it can be caused by an internet connection error between your computer and the internet. In this case, simply refresh your web browser. With most browsers, you can refresh your browser by simultaneously pressing the Control and F5 buttons on your keyboard. If you still receive a connection error message, wait a few minutes and refresh your browser again.

A second event that can cause a connection error is when we are performing our routine site maintenance and our Learning Portal website is offline. Routine maintenance occurs on Sundays from 1:00 – 3:00 p.n. EST, and on Wednesdays from 1:00 – 2:00 a.m. EST. In this case, please wait until the maintenance period expires before attempting to connect again.

SUBSCRIPTIONS

Can I transfer an active subscription to another person?

Licenses are not transferable. However, in the event that a subscriber leaves your employ during their subscription term, a one-time transfer may be granted. In such instances, a $50 administrative fee will be charged to cover the cost of the transfer.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Sign In to technologycertifications.com and go to the My Profile page. Select “Manage Subscription” and then select the red “Cancel” button.: https://www.technologycertifications.com/my-subscription/

How do I upgrade my subscription from Monthly Plan to Quarterly Plan or Annual Plan?

Sign In to TechnologyCertifications.com and go to the My Profile page. In the Manage Subscription section, simply choose which plan you prefer. The longer the subscription period; the greater this discount.

Can I move my subscription from one student to another?

No. The subscription carries assignments and a transcript record associated with that subscription so there would be confusion if more than one person shared a subscription.

Can I have more than one student on a subscription?

No. Each student is set up with a unique subscription and learning transcript. Therefore, there must be one subscription for every student. The unique transcript records allow for assignment of specific courses for each student, establishment of deadlines, and unique reporting on that student’s progress.

Are there additional discounts for multiple subscriptions purchased by one company?

No, the pricing is the lowest available for both categories of single or multiple subscribers. However, for multiple subscribers there is an option to designate an administrator who can assign and manage all students. There is no additional charge for one administrator per group.

Why would I want an annual subscription?

An annual subscription is significantly less expensive than the monthly or quarterly options. And even though each subscription period is unlimited, depending on the student, several important online certifications can require 2-3 months to learn, prep, and take practice tests. Numerous certifications are multi-tiered so students could acquire 3-4 or more certifications to master an area. In addition to valuable certification training, Technology Certifications subscriptions also include an extensive quick reference library, which is invaluable for one-off questions.

Why is the cost of this training so much cheaper?

Technology Certifications offers only a portion of the complete Skillsoft Catalogue. This training is specifically for IT Professionals and IT Service Providers which includes IT certification training and reference. In addition to IT, Skillsoft’s library includes a significant amount of training that is not relevant to IT professionals like food safety and compliance.

What kind of subscription plans does Technology Certifications offer?

Technology Certifications offers two types of subscription categories: standard pricing for the general public and a second, exclusive deeply discounted price structure for Partners/Users of ConnectWise© products (ConnectWise Manage™, ConnectWise Automate™, ConnectWise Sell™ or ConnectWise Control™) Each category has three subscription options:

Which web browsers are supported by Technology Certifications?

Technology Certifications is designed to work with Chrome, Firefox, Safari and IE 10.

Can I take more than one course at a time?

Yes- we recommend it! There are numerous disciplines and manufacturer certifications to study, and that is in addition to the training for IT Business Skills and Desktop Skills. Many ConnectWise Partners tell us that they assign basic IT customer service training to every new tech who joins their company.

Can I take my exam for certification on this site?

Technology Certifications is a test preparation training service and does not administer any IT Certification tests. These certification tests are typically proctored by the software company or organization that awards the certifications, or by an independent proctored center. Students can make testing arrangements by contacting the certification sanctioning organizations such as Microsoft, CompTIA, Amazon, Cisco, ITIL and others. There typically is a cost for test participation.

How long does it take to complete the training?

IT Certification courses are typically very thorough and course time commitment varies by software vendor. The average class time invested also varies by student. On average the IT Certification course require about 20 to 50 hours study time per certification. The non-certification courses in the IT Business Skills Library and Desktop Skills Library usually take considerably less time to complete. And quick skills are generally answered in a video that lasts between 3-5 minutes.

Do you have hands on, online labs?

There is currently no hands-on lab component with Technology Certifications. It is a future enhancement. Meanwhile, if you want to add a practice lab component, please Contact Us and we’ll put you in touch with the right resources.

What is involved with the Mentoring service associated with some courses?

The Skillsoft IT Certification Mentors provide expert guidance, support and encouragement to the students who are pursuing their IT certifications. For the 50+ most popular certifications exams, the Skillsoft Mentors offer year-round, 24x7x365 support via email, chat and in some cases, by phone. For an additional 60+ certification exams, mentors are available Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm EST time.

What do I do if I need special help with the courses or have questions about the training materials?

There is a variety of support options that range from mentors to study aids and documents associated with most of the certification courses right in the training coursework. A majority of IT Certification courses offer live, individualized course coaching provided by Skillsoft’s network of course Mentors.
